Default Best Necro Weapon?

Early on in the development of my Necro/Monk (Minion Master) I was given the following two items by a VERY generous fellow Minion Master.

Bone Spiral Rod (blue)
Cold dmg: 11-22 (Req 9 Death Magic)
50% faster recharge time of Death Magic spells (20%)
Energy +5 (While health is below 50%)
Damage +20% (Customized)

Bleached Skull (blue)
Energy +12 (req 9 Death Magic)
50% faster casting time of Death Magic spells (20%)
50% faster recharge time of Death Magic spells (20%)

I am currently L16 (Was only L7 or so when I got them) and I'm looking to see what else might be out there. These have been incredibly awesome items but now that I'm a little higher up on the food chain, I'm looking for my "End Game" weapon and off-hand item. I am a casual gamer so I don't really know what the max items are. Can someone offer up some ideas? Oh, and if you recommend gold/green items, please list what they might sell for if you have that info.
Thanks!

If your playing Death Magic all the time look around for someone selling or farming (in Senji's Corner) Ghail's Staff, pretty much a perfect Death Magic staff that sells for around 40K. (Well, unless you want to use a wand/offhand, in which case, there are the perfect end game ones you could get.)

both of those items are great, infact, you won't find any better.

As a MM however, you will be saccing quite some HP, and with that dip below 50% HP from time to time. However, you realy don't want fluctuating energy pools as a MM, you need that nrg to keep your army alive.

Ghail's staff is a nice staff, you can find solobuilds for that boss on these forums.

there is another option though, and while you'll miss out on the +1 death magic mod, you will end up with +17nrg instead of +15, and the ability to get an extra 5 armor or 30HP (i'd say take armor, lower HP makes it easier to heal up your own saccing) : get a +5 nrg sword or axe and keep your offhand. You won't be able to wand (oh noes) but that's not realy that needed anyway.

I'm mainly looking for primary/secondary items but I will check this one out.

Oh, when mentioning items, if you know where they can be found (bosses, collectors) please let me know that as well.

Thanks.

There is no "best" weapon, per se, only ones that are "best" for you. Personally, I like collector items a lot, which is what you currently have. The only end-game item worth getting in Factions, in my opinion, is the 5>50 20% recharge Wayward Wand. However, for a Death Necro (as in MM), you want casting bonuses, since recharge times for minion spells are already very short, and you usually carry 2 or more of them with you.

For an MM, personally, I would do:

main weapon: +5e>50, 20% fast cast
switch weapon: 15/-1, 20% fast cast

main offhand: 20% fast cast, +5AL>50
switch offhand: 15/-1, 20% fast cast

Thadious,

That information is available (and lots more) from the Wiki:

Default OK... So now I wonder if...

Can I add an enhancement to this? Like one of those wrappings of whatever or something that will enhance it further? Like +5 Energy or +15 Health while being stomped by a Charr?

Sorry for the vague generality but I don't know off the top of my head what types of upgrades are available a wand/rod.

Wands and rods can't be upgraded. You have staff wrappings and staff heads that only work for staves. There are offhands that give you a +1 death 20% chance, however you would lost your 20% cast/recharge that you have on your current offhand item.

I'm a big fan of 20/20 wand and 20/20 offhand. I don't run Flesh Golem on my MM as I prefer Offering of Blood for energy management. If you're a Golem fan then any wand with +5e>50% is a good bet. Other's have mentioned the +15e/-1energy regen wands and offhands. Those are nice, but I don't like to get in a situation where I need them. Once you go through their energy it's a long slow climb back to full.

For me, speed of animating trumps everything else. In competitive situations you want to be the first to get to that corpse.

Bloodstained Boots + 20/20 wand + 20/20 offhand = gg to other MM's not using that gear.

Just my humble opinion.

OK. That pretty much answers all my questions. Based on what I have learned so far, it would appear that I already have my "End Game" items and they were actually dropped into my lap by a very generous MM who I just happened to be partied with during a Drok's Forge run. My hat off to him. This was a fine example of helping out fellow gamers. Also of worthy mention, I offered to pay him for them and he said it wasn't required. This is a favor I will definatly pay forward.

Thanks for the input everyone. It is appreciated.

Actually, the collector item is 5<50, whereas the end-game item is 5>50.
